On hosiery finishing lines, RH-GZ-05 is printed directly onto the sole area of cotton, bamboo, or polyamide socks. The adhesive is applied as a high-viscosity paste through a 40–60 mesh rotary screen. Paste viscosity is maintained at 50,000–70,000 mPa·s measured on a Brookfield RVT spindle 6 at 20 rpm and 25 °C. Wet film thickness is controlled between 0.3 mm and 0.8 mm. Curing occurs in a three-zone tunnel oven. Zone 1 is set at 80 °C for 3 min, Zone 2 at 120 °C for 5 min, Zone 3 at 140 °C for 2 min. The cured bottom coating must resist 50 wash cycles under ISO 6330 at 40 °C using a Type A reference detergent. The coefficient of friction on a dry ceramic tile remains above 1.2 when tested per ASTM D1894 after 20 wash cycles. Edge curling must not exceed 0.5 mm after tumble drying. For infant sock applications, compliance with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Annex 6 Class I is required, including extractable heavy metals and phthalate limits. The terminal product is a non-slip sock for hospital, yoga, and infant use.
Work gloves with knitted nylon or polyester shells require a silicone rubber palm coating. RH-GZ-05 is applied by a dip-and-drip process. The glove is immersed into a dip tank of the adhesive. Dip tank viscosity is adjusted to 30,000–45,000 mPa·s using a low-viscosity reactive diluent. Dilution is kept below 5 wt% to avoid cure inhibition. Excess paste is removed by a drip line; residual coating thickness is 1.0–1.5 mm. Texturing is produced by passing the wet glove through a salt-leaching bed or by mechanical stippling before cure. The coating is cured at 120 °C for 8–10 min in a forced-air oven. Abrasion resistance is measured under EN 388 using a Martindale abrader; the coating must achieve at least level 4 on the abrasion scale. Tear strength is tested per ISO 34-1 Method B; a minimum value of 25 N/mm is specified. Oil grip is evaluated by measuring the static coefficient of friction on an oiled stainless steel plate. The coating should maintain a value above 0.8 after immersion in IRM 902 oil for 24 h. The terminal product is a silicone-rubber-coated work glove for oil and gas maintenance crews.
Woven polyester or polypropylene area rugs are back-coated with RH-GZ-05 to replace carboxylated styrene-butadiene latex. The adhesive is applied by knife-over-roll coating to a thickness of 0.8–1.2 mm. Knife gap is set at 1.0 mm and line speed is limited to 10–15 m/min. Curing takes place in a hot air oven at 150 °C for 12–15 min. The cured backing must meet 16 CFR 1630 or 16 CFR 1631 surface flammability requirements for carpets and rugs. Dimensional stability is tested under AATCC 96 using a 5 wash/rinse cycle; linear shrinkage must not exceed 2%. Coating-to-substrate adhesion is quantified by ASTM D751 static adhesion with a minimum value of 1.5 N/mm. The backing must not cause staining of vinyl flooring; migration testing is performed per ASTM D2199-03 for plasticizer migration. The terminal product is a non-slip area rug suitable for vinyl, tile, and hardwood floors.
On PVC, TPE, or natural rubber foam mat lines, RH-GZ-05 is used as a bottom coating to provide grip on studio floors and to prevent mat slippage during asanas. The adhesive is applied by reverse roll coating to a dry film thickness of 0.3–0.5 mm. The base foam is pre-heated to 70 °C to reduce surface moisture and improve wetting. The coating cures at 130 °C for 5–7 min in a forced-air tunnel. The cured bottom coating must meet ASTM D624 Die C tear strength of at least 15 N/mm when tested on a 2 mm slab. Slip resistance on a dry hardwood floor is characterised by a static coefficient of friction above 1.0 per ASTM D1894. The coating must also demonstrate no observable transfer to the floor after 50 simulated use cycles under ISO 12947-2 Martindale abrasion. A phthalate-free claim is verified by EN 14372 with a limit below 0.1% total phthalates. The terminal product is a yoga mat with a non-slip bottom surface.

Oven mitts and industrial heat-resistant pads consist of aramid or fiberglass fabric with a silicone rubber bottom coating. RH-GZ-05 is applied as a tie-coat between the fabric and a thicker insulating silicone foam layer. The adhesive is applied by screen coating at 100–150 µm wet film. The top foam layer is cast on top while the tie-coat is still wet. The composite is cured at 160 °C for 10 min. Heat resistance is evaluated by ISO 17493 hot oven test at 250 °C for 15 min; the coating must not show cracking, charring, or delamination. Adhesion between the fabric and the coating is tested per ISO 813 with a minimum peel strength of 2.5 N/mm. The composite must comply with FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 if it contacts food. Extraction in distilled water and n-hexane must not exceed 10 mg/dm². The terminal product is an oven mitt or trivet for household or catering use.
Orthotic inserts and diabetic shoe soles are coated with RH-GZ-05 to create a durable anti-slip bottom layer. The adhesive is dispensed by a metering robot onto the sole blank. The sole blank is placed in a vacuum jig to prevent air entrapment. Cure is carried out at 100 °C for 20 min. The cured bottom layer is subjected to ASTM F2913-19 whole-shoe slip resistance testing on wet ceramic and dry vinyl. A static coefficient of friction above 0.6 is required under wet conditions. Repeated autoclave sterilisation is validated at 121 °C for 30 min for 20 cycles. The coating must retain at least 80% of its initial peel strength after sterilisation. Biocompatibility of the cured elastomer is confirmed by ISO 10993-5 and ISO 10993-10. The terminal product is a diabetic foot orthosis with non-slip bottom coating.

Silicone Rubber Adhesives (Bottom Coating) RH-GZ-05 is a one-component, neutral alkoxy-cure room-temperature vulcanizing elastomer supplied as a thixotropic black paste for bottom coating, edge sealing, and vibration-damping applications on non-porous substrates. The uncured compound is packaged in 300 mL aluminium cartridges and 20 L pail containers and is formulated for moisture-triggered crosslinking at 23 °C and 50 % RH. Density measured per ISO 1183-1 ranges from 1.04 g/cm³ to 1.08 g/cm³. Brookfield rotational viscosity at 20 rpm using spindle 7 falls between 35,000 mPa·s and 55,000 mPa·s. The cure reaction releases 0.3 wt% to 0.6 wt% of mixed alcohol condensate, allowing the material to be handled in enclosed coating cells where acetic acid generated by acetoxy-cure silicones is not acceptable.

The alkoxy-cure mechanism releases a neutral alcohol condensate rather than acetic acid. In contrast, acetoxy one-part silicones generate acetic acid during moisture cure, and condensed acidic droplets may lower local pH below 4.0 on copper traces, tin-plated terminals, and silver-plated contacts. That corrosion mechanism is eliminated with RH-GZ-05 because the neutral condensation product does not produce the same electrochemical attack on mixed-metal assemblies. The formulation is qualified for use in mixed-metal enclosures under flowing mixed gas testing per IEC 60068-2-60. Compared with oxime-cure systems, RH-GZ-05 exhibits lower risk of stress cracking and softening of polycarbonate and polycarbonate/ABS blends used in coated housings and bezels. The difference is operationally significant in bottom coating lines where the bead contacts both metal chassis components and transparent thermoplastic covers.
On FR-4 printed circuit assemblies, the adhesive is applied directly to cleaned solder mask edges, aluminium baseplates, glass-filled PBT connectors, and tin-plated terminal blocks. When aluminium 6061-T6 coupons are degreased with isopropanol and dried before dispensing, lap shear strength per ISO 4587 stabilises after 7 days at 0.9–1.4 MPa. For copper alloy leadframes, adhesion values are typically 0.8–1.3 MPa under the same surface preparation. Polyolefin substrates are not directly bondable without plasma, corona, or a primer; published adhesion data for untreated polyethylene and polypropylene is insufficient for production use.
Dispensing is performed with positive-displacement piston robots or pneumatic cartridge guns at 0.2–0.6 MPa. Needle inner diameter is selected between 0.25 mm and 1.19 mm to control bead width, with wet film thickness typically 0.1–0.5 mm. At 23 °C / 50 % RH, tack-free time is 8–18 min, and cure through a 2 mm section requires 24 h. At 10 % RH, tack-free time can extend beyond 45 min; a controlled chamber at 60 % RH or pre-humidification is required to maintain cycle time. At RH above 60 %, condensation on cold substrates can produce interfacial blisters and adhesion loss. Pre-drying of substrates at 60 °C for 30 min is recommended before applicator contact when dew-point margins are less than 3 °C. Ambient temperatures below 5 °C retard condensation cure, while temperatures above 35 °C accelerate skin-over and may trap volatile condensate in thick sections, leading to cavitation or internal voids. Amine-containing primers and accelerators are not recommended because alkaline residues can destabilise the tin condensation catalyst at the bond line. In production-scale bottom coating cells, no static mixer is required, but drip control at the nozzle is maintained using a suck-back setting of 0.02–0.05 mL per dispense cycle.
One-part alkoxy chemistry removes meter-mix ratio errors, static mixer purge, and short pot life after mixing. Two-part platinum-cure silicone systems require precise metering and are vulnerable to catalyst poisoning by sulfur residues, amine compounds, and some organometallic stabilisers. RH-GZ-05 tolerates ordinary residues on production assemblies because condensation cure proceeds by moisture diffusion and does not depend on a platinum catalyst. The main limitation is depth of cure. Addition-cure silicone can be vulcanised through a 2 mm section at 80 °C in 10–20 min, whereas RH-GZ-05 requires 24–48 h at 23 °C for the same thickness. Heat-assisted cure at 50 °C and 60 % RH reduces through-cure time to 12–18 h but does not eliminate the moisture-diffusion limitation. Where process cycle time is critical and the substrate can tolerate elevated temperature, a two-part addition-cure system remains preferable. Where the line converts to single-component ambient cure and requires compatibility with sulfur-bearing FR-4 residues, RH-GZ-05 substitutes directly.

For existing bottom coating lines converting from acetoxy or oxime products, replacement is most predictable when substrate cleaning, bead geometry, and cure-chamber humidity are held constant. Production-scale observation indicates that bead width variation below ±0.1 mm is achievable with piston dispensing robots, whereas pneumatic cartridge guns can introduce wider shot-to-shot variation if cartridge temperature fluctuates. Cartridge stabilisation at 20–25 °C for 4 h before dispensing reduces viscosity drift and improves bead repeatability in uncontrolled plant environments.
The manufacturer’s thermal aging data for RH-GZ-05 lists continuous service from −60 °C to 200 °C, with short excursions to 250 °C permitted without immediate reversion. Above 250 °C, siloxane chain randomization and cyclosiloxane evolution become measurable, and long-term exposure at that temperature is not recommended. Thermal shock testing per IEC 60068-2-14 from −40 °C to 125 °C for 100 cycles has been used to confirm adhesion retention on aluminium and FR-4 interfaces above 0.7 MPa. Hydrolytic stability is consistent with neutral-cure silicone networks, but continuous immersion in 5 % NaOH solution at 23 °C can reduce bond strength by more than 30 % within 30 days in screening tests. The product is not recommended for continuous exposure to strong alkaline cleaning baths, chlorinated solvents, or concentrated mineral acids. Storage life in unopened containers is 12 months from date of manufacture at 5–25 °C. Opened cartridges should be consumed within 30 days or sealed with moisture-impermeable caps to prevent premature skin-over in the cartridge neck.
